Signs your TEXA IDC5 is at End of Life

Unfortunately we've been fielding a lot of calls from people wondering why they're no longer able to perform setting changes, resets, regeneration and other functions protected by "Web Locks".

In TEXA IDC5 when you go to the Settings screen inside a diagnosis and see red Web Lock icons you've come to the End of Life. 

If you click on the Web Lock icon you'll see this message from TEXA saying they've imposed a restriction on your software (due to age).

To enable functions protected by Web Locks you must purchase a TEXPACK update subscription which brings you to the latest available version of TEXA IDC6 diagnostic software and provides 12 months of software updates.

One of the big selling features of TEXA used to be that after the initial 12 months of updates expired the tool would continue to work indefinitely. Sadly this is no longer the case, software updates are require approximately every 2 years to keep your diagnostic kit functional.
