Cummins INSITE troubleshooting will often instruct you to install the latest ECM Calibration when diagnosing a variety of issues including resetting inducement derate codes 3712, 3714 and others.
It is possible to download a single disk or the entire INCAL DVD library directly from the Cummins website ( https://www.cummins.com/support/digital-products-and-services-support/incal-support - contact us if you require assistance).
If you have access to Cummins QuickServe you can download ECM Calibrations individually as the need arises using the following steps:
- Log into the Cummins QuickServe Online website at https://quickserve.cummins.com/
- Enter your Engine Serial Number (ESN) in the search box in the left column then click the search button (>). QuickServe will update with your ESN in the left column and along the top bar of the website.
- Click on the Service tab along the top bar then click on the Related Information in the middle of the page then click the Calibration Downloads link.
- A new window/tab will appear in your browser with your ESN in the Serial Number field, enter your ECM Code in the ECM Code field and select from the available Calibration Types (Engine Calibration in this case) and click the Download Zip File button then save the file to your computer (your computer settings may differ but the default location for downloads is C:\Downloads).
- Locate the ECM Calibration download on your computer, right click the file and select Open With > Windows Explorer

- In Compressed Folder Tools section of the top bar of Windows Explorer, click the Extract All button then navigate to C:\Intelect\INSITE\CalibrationWorkspace then click the Extract button.
- Open Cummins INSITE and click on Calibration Selection in the left menu then click the ECM/PDD button on the main screen.
- In the center of the main screen you should now see your computer storage drives (eg. C:\, D:\, etc) and a folder for the Calibration Workspace, expand this folder until you find the engine type and ECM Part Number you need to calibrate.
- This will pop open a new box where you need to select the Certification Codes (eg. CARB, EPA) by clicking on them and then click the right arrow to add those Certification Codes to your INSITE for use then click the OK button.
- You can now search for the ECM Code for your ESN & ECM Part Number. To send it to your ECM right click and select Transfer to ECM (but remember to create a Work Order to back up vehicle/engine settings first!).
