Commodity Classic 2020 Review

February 27-29 San Antonio Texas

Tradeshows are a great way to meet folks from across the country and around the world. The Commodity Class in San Antonio Texas from February 27-29 had the highest number of farmers in attendance in the 24 year history of the show.

Showgoers enjoyed access to the latest technology from farm equipment to seed and chemical to GPS and data services. The J-Ball Electronics booth was across the lane from the Case IH displays (hence the most photos) and not far from the Claas booth.

Farmers who stopped the J-Ball booth by were impressed with the diagnostic capabilities of TEXA all brand diagnostic tools. Starting at $3,210 US, TEXA’s recently released Agricultural Equipment Diagnostic Tool package was well received. This package includes diagnostic software with coverage for Agricultural makes, Navigator TXT pass-thru device, OBDII and 9 Pin Deutsch cables for connecting to most common North American makes (Case, John Deere, New Holland, etc.).

Shhhh, it isn’t all work at trade shows

Exploring downtown San Antonio after the show didn’t disappoint, the downtown is clean and easy to explore with a number of attractions just minutes from the conference facility.

The #1 tourist attraction in San Antonio is the Alamo. This important piece of American history is a must-see with bronze models depicting the development of the site throughout the years lining the outer walls of the compound and more information and a gift shop inside the confines of the compound walls open by day.

Descending one level below street level brings you to the River Walk, a tourist district is lined with restaurants and shops and plied by river cruise boats. This tourist mecca has everything to keep you going all through the day and late into the night.
